Hey guys, getting back into FPS in a big way in SC and wanted to ask about the mechanics. I used to run with a serious Mil Sim group in both Arma 2 and 3 and learned Fire Team tactics as it was SOP. That said each time we stopped we would go to ground or at least kneel, same with firing, more accurate prone then kneeling and less so standing. Does Star Citizen model this? I mean I get it you move up to cover and if you can you can kneel to reduce your exposure etc but does it also get you more accuracy? The trade off is how slow you move, which can be detrimental when rounds are coming in. I have a gut feeling it doesnt matter in SC but wanted to ask those in the know. I am tending to lean and stay standing to shoot and scoot as 4.10 seems to have made NPCs much better. So in the end trying to develop good habits in game, SA, monitor health and Ammo, bound points and fallback points etc. Thanks for any help
I am definitely not the right person to comment on this. I likely would not notice the difference of what you are describing, but I am pretty sure our CSS and FS members will know. Most reliable to get a quick and proper answer are the corresponding channels on the discord, since the user activity levels are much higher. Also I can highly recommend the Marine Basic Training- Sunday, September 13 at 2pm US Central Time - Operations, Jobs & Training - ADI Forum where you’ll be in the field with said experts to train on movement patterns and tactics.
Awesome thanks Relay will do. Still trying to figure out where to post different stuff without spamming if you know what I mean : ) GG
