Just checked round the net and it seems the MSVCR120.dll file is normally linked with MS Visual Studio 2013.

I found this post on microsoft answers and it links to a system file checker tool.

It might spot a problem and fix it for you.

If not this link leads to the MS download for Visual Studio 2013. Try reinstalling all the files.

Thanks for Trying to help! Unfortunately sfc scan cant repair the problem and uninstallation and reinstallation of Visual Studio 2013 didn’t help either :frowning:

Everything I can find on this points to an issue with Visual Studios. There were some mentions of vcredist as well. I would double check whether the structural format is x86(32-bit) or x64(64-bit) and potentially removing older versions that may be on your system. Other than that, I haven’t the foggiest. Good luck.

Sorry that didn’t help.

I’ll dig around some more but I’ll likely come to the same conclusion as VecDodger.

So just to check, the scanner found an issue, but was unable to repair it? Or did it scan and found nothing?

If its the former (I hate to suggest it) it might be worth doing a full OS and HDD wipe and reinstall. I normally find that solves most software issues, but only as a last resort.

Good Luck.

Yeah it found issues but was unable to fix them :frowning: np, mate you already tried to help thats even more than I can ask from you

I don’t know what I just did but something updated relating to service pack. it restard my PC and now star citizen works for the first time ever! Thanks for helping though <3

Nice one glad your all sorted now.
