Those who are aware and those who might not know. Millions of Americans were hit by disastrous rainwater from Hurricane Helene. If you know any members who were in the areas of; western Kentucky, Eastern Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, or North Carolina.
The unfortunate side of gaming is that we never know what happens when they never log back in or why we don’t see them online anymore. Reach out if you can, try and get a comms check on our wingmen.

Hey everyone! I’m still here and thank God me and mine are ok. We’re in western NC and Helene really hit us hard. It’s been two weeks now since we lost power and cell service. Just got cell service back late yesterday. Hopefully power isn’t far behind. Please keep all the disaster victims in your prayers and I’ll be back once we can get back online.

CG, what part of the mountains are you in? I’m in Wilkes. Made a medical supply run from Hickory down to Swannanoa not too long ago. The devastation is mind boggling. I’ve got an old Marine bud in Marshall. They have had it pretty bad too.

Hey Sludge. I’m located in Green Mountain just outside of Burnsville. Everything along the Toe River is all but gone. We were blessed in that we didn’t have any damage to our home, but power is still out. Trucks were active in our area the past couple of days so hopefully we’ll get commercial power back this week.

Glad to hear that you guys are ok. Many are less fortunate. My part of the mountains got hit but for the most part not so bad. A few land slides and tons of trees down. We had folks out of power most of a month before they got it back on. Yeah, Yancy Co has the most still without power in NC. Mitchell comes in second. Those power crews are doing super human things to get that back on. I fly contract drone lidar for civil engineers and they told me to rest up because I am going to have a pile of work upcoming in Mitchell Co. The rebuild is going to take a couple of years. No doubt I will be traveling to that area a bunch over the next year. I will throw ya a message and maybe I can buy ya lunch while I’m down that way.
