Hello Everyone! I am a long time addict to internet spaceships! I have extensive experience with Even Online, a good bit of experience in Elite Dangerous, and back I the days before the internet played the heck out of any game where I got to fly a spaceship (on PS1 Colony Wars was my favorite game of all time. yes, I am PS1 years old).
IRL I’m a US Army Veteran, a public school Computer Science and Engineering Teacher, and aspiring Computer Security Professional, a dad, and a Civil Air Patrol Volunteer. I really like the structure that ADI seems to provide, and my RL friend SamJackson speaks very highly of you all.
I have been aware of and low key interested in Star Citizen for a couple of years, but hadn’t hopped in yet until fairly recently. I began seriously trying out the game about a week ago and have mostly been struggling with getting my controllers to work and learn the basic mechanics. I’m hoping to finish up the tutorial and start actually playing this game by the end of the long weekend. I see incredible potential here and absolutely love everything I have seen about ADI.
My current rig is Duo t16000 sticks, an Azeron Cyborg Compact Gaming Controller, GamerGlass on an iPad and 2 phones, Voice Attack, a gaming mouse, and a headset with microphone.
I have read the ADI website in detail, have joined the Discord, will do an onboarding conversation later this evening (US East TZ), and agree to all the rules. I look forward to making internet spaceships explode alongside you!
Great to have you! ADI is an awesome place to get with others and learn the game. There are so many recourses here in the forums to help you as well. Look forward to seeing you out there.
Welcome to ADI there are plenty of people willing to help you out you could also do our training to help improve your skills and teamwork to give you the best chance while getting to know our members
Welcome to ADI, kleenur! It’s great to have you join us. That’s quite an extensive background you have there! I think you’ll find you will have many friends with similar life experiences here. As for the challenges, yes SC has a lot of them but that’s why joining ADI was a great move. We’re here to help each other learn, grow and have fun experiences. See you in game & discord.
