Came back to star citizen recently and found out that the game is actually really fun to play.

Hey Xtabell1711, welcome to the org. Yeah, I found myself in a similar situation. Starting playing and tried several mission and game play loops solo, but then hit a bit of a wall. Realized a lot of the enjoyment would only be realized in groups.
So here we are and you could not have selected a better org to party up with.
