GrasshopperK

Howdy,
Just enlisted for Star Citizen and ADI today, I’m 20, an engineer and engineering student in TU Dublin. big History and Sci-fi nerd. I’ll likely be around just weekends for the time being.
I’m thinking I’ll be sticking to more larger craft, I know I likely wont be the best fighter pilot. I’m not bad in War Thunder, but I think I’ll still enjoy sticking to piloting the heavier weight craft (for now anyway) and as a crew member.
I also know, despite any below claims that my skills will improve, I won’t be an ace marine in FPS combat. Most of my previous Battlefield group rolls were as Tank commander, engineer, chopper pilot, and medic (usualy in that order of frequency). The same for similar games :stuck_out_tongue:
So I appreciate all the support through the positions I’ve been offered.

Welcome to ADI, Grasshopper! I’m not the best fighter pilot either, but the great thing about ADI is that we all complement each other. Where you or I are deficient, someone else is exemplary. Also, don’t worry too much about only being available on weekends. Real life comes first and we all will still be here when your university studies are concluded.

Welcome Grasshopper!
What’s your favourite sci fi show? The expanse? :stuck_out_tongue:
We do have many large craft that are going to need many hands to operate indeed. Cheers!

Thank you, glad to be here ^^
Just chatting in the Mumble server, enjoying the 47GB installation…

Welcome Grasshopper! Glad to have you with us here at ADI, you picked the right org to call home with active and experienced members to enjoy the Verse. Hope to fly with you soon!

Hey, Grasshopper! Welcome to ADI. Don’t worry about your current level of skill, I’m flat out terrible at even -piloting- ships at this point. I’m personally looking forward to practicing with a lot of the talent we have here to improve my own skills, I’ll bet you’ll be better than me in no time. :upside_down_face:

Welcome to the ADI Family, Grasshopper! You’ll find that the members here support and help sharpen each others skills in the Verse. You may not think your a great fighter pilot but we have lots of folks who are more than willing to help you sharpen up and teach you new things. If heavy ships is your thing then we have plenty of folks who can help you there as well. Feel free to ask questions and jump into the fray.

Definitely Stargate, although you’re right. My missus knows I’m dieing to watch The Expanse, and she has Netflix…

Hi GrasshopperK, Welcome to ADI and Star Citizen. If you need any help with the game just ask in discord or mumble, we have plenty of experienced players who can help. Hope to see you in the verse.

@GrasshopperK Welcome to ADI. There is no same in admitting you are no combat Ace. I am not either. I tend to prefer ships that aren’t cut out for dogfights like a Freelancer Mis, it has really become my favorite ship for all around doing things in the vurse. This is a great group of very helpful people. You found the right place to be as a new player.

Welcome to ADI Grasshopper. I look forward to running ops with you.

Hi and welcome! Good thing SC has tanks haha! always fun to learn new skills though and ADI has everything so welcome aboard!

Yea, I’m thinking I’ll enjoy the armour :stuck_out_tongue: and any combat engineer roles

Greetings GrasshopperK! I think its almost safe to say you are among all fellow SCI-Fi nerds! I am quite sure you find a place that suits our organization no matter what it is. Look forward to seeing you in world !

Hello Grasshopper. I am not really the military pilot either, for me star citizen is currently about flying passenger and cargo ships, as well as taking a look at their logics. But anyway, first and foremost - Welcome in the team and see you in the verse.

Well, I don’t mind piloting in combat. I just don’t believe I’ll be a great dog fighter. I’d probably be happy as a marine pilot, or AFV crewman.

I am jealous now. I am the most untalented combat pilot the verse ever encountered. Give me a Starliner, a Conny or whatever… But coping with fighters is slightly too much for me. May be staffing a Valcurie or a Nova tank would be an interesting job for you.

Yes, I’d be happy to serve in armour, or staff anything like a Cutlass black or bigger :stuck_out_tongue:

I just can offer a seat in my warden … But I use its offensive capabilities rarely, except for self-defense. Sometimes I just lean back and think: Why didn´t you got a nice and sturdy reconnaissance ship :- ))))
