I enjoy playing solo (for learning and personal enjoyment) and in small groups (for social enjoyment), within the context of ADI. In the context of tactics, strategy, and grand strategy, I’m best at the mid-level strategy.
If I’m playing in a larger group (as will sometimes occur being a member of ADI), I prefer to be in a mid-level leadership role. Give me direct command of smaller ops or have me coordinating multiple groups of players within a larger op and I’ll shine. I don’t respond well to micromanagement; be in command but out of control with me, because that gives me the freedom to think critically and act as I see fit for the betterment of the organization. Emergency situations arise in an op? Don’t worry, I’ve got it covered. I also know my limits, what I can and cannot handle, so I’ll get help when I need it.
Earning my trust takes a while but goes a long way. Manipulation is not tolerated, honesty is preferred, and being genuinely respectful does wonders.
