Retired USAF with 6 years active duty with deployments to Khandahar, Balad, and Tallil. Got tired of deploying every Thanksgiving / Christmas and so joined the Idaho Air National Guard to finish out my last 14 years of service with the last MRU (military radar unit) training pilots over the Mountain Home Range Complex. Ground Radio by trade (yet somehow managed to get lumped in as RAWS at some point), jack of all trades by necessity as I was a shop of one that took care of around 60 ground to air radios, 11 servers, 40 small computers, and an IP based voice switch that ties in the radios and VOIP and analog phones. And I took care of a ton of nit-noid stuff that 8 operators that I work with don’t do…yet (until I retired, I had been coaching several so they’ll not be left in the cold).

Built my first PC out of spare 386 parts from my pop’s work which then snowballed into a passion for PC hardware. I’ve been building my own PCs for over 25 years now, and have been overclocking them for almost as long. However, I’ve got a love hate relationship with computers - software isn’t really my thing, yet by necessity I’ve had to smash my head against all kinds.

Been a gamer since I was little. We had a NES growing up (Super Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt), and when I was younger I was into Counter Strike (original) and Team Fortress - now my reactions are too slow to play with the twitch kiddies, so I’m now more into less twitch based games. Like Star Citizen! Been playing since May 2020 and I am absolutely loving it. I dabble with all of SC, but cargo running is my favorite - something about cutting loose from my troubles and just flying from one place to the next, and repeating it, soothes me.

Fully retired and I’m very much enjoying being free from crushing stress and responsibilities. I enjoy helping Twitch streamers enhance their shows!
