Windows 10 v1803 Update Disables Mic

This is for anyone else who’s microphone stops working after the update.

After updating to Windows 10 version 1803 my Yeti microphone stopped working. Device manager and control panel says everything is fine. Very frustrating but I did find a fix you have to do Settings -> Privacy -> Microphone -> ‘Allow apps to access this microphone’ it’s the only fix I found but it works. Oh and also make sure the default input device is set correct in Mumble.

My mic totally stopped working, but since I didn’t have it installed at the time I had no event to use as troubleshooting. Spent 6 hours to no avail. Great find, this solution should be pinned and spread around the internet. Thanks!
