With the new buy back system based on another members post about selling ships I had this hypothetical question. Assuming you had a account locked ships could you melt it and then buy it back with cash and have it be unlocked?
Yes…and I have bought back ships and sold them so they were giftable.

Yes they were as they were gifted to me after I bought them on the grey market.
