Post your rigs and specs

Seen some threads about gaming setups but it never really showed off the machines themselves, and 1 off threads about someones build…

So thought it’s time we have a thread were everyone can post their rigs and the specs for their rigs with pics inside and out if you wish.

I mostly finished mine last week. Few peeps have seen it on discord. Thought I would start a thread everyone can share theirs in and nerd out.

I’ll Start it off with my new rig I mostly finished last week. I’m still using a temporary video card until volta is released though, and I did salvage several parts from my old gaming desktop aside from the video card.

Case: Corsair C70 Military Green
Motherboard: ASRock x399 Taichi
Processor: AMD Ryzen 1950x ThreadRipper
CPU cooling: enermax liqtech 240 oc TR4 (made specifically for threadripper processors)
Ram: GSkill DDR4 3600 32GB (4x8GB - quad channel)
Video card: MSI GeForce GTX 680 twin frozr (using my old card till volta is released)
Power Supply: Silverstone Strider-P 1000w (from old rig)
SSDs: Samsung 960 EVO 500GB m.2, crucial m4 256GB SATA
HDDs:4TB 7200rpm seagate barracuda, 2x 7200rpm 750GB seagate barracuda, 600GB 10000rpm western digital velociraptor
Optical: LG BD-RE SATA disc drive
OS: win 10 pro (facepalm…hate windows 10, but have to run it for newer hardware.)

I also have some 140mm fan filters on order that will be coming soon™ so I can cover up the fan ports I’m not using to help keep the dust out of the case. The rest of the case already has filters built in.

Yay, a thread which allows me to shove my build into people’s faces!
All jokes aside, I do like talking about my rig. It’s not state of the art, but it runs nicely and is being updated regularly.
I can’t make a picture of it at the moment, but I might (probably will forget) update the post with a photo.

Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (Black)
Motherboard: MSI X99s MPOWER
Processor: Intel i7 5820K 3.3GHz
CPU cooling: Corsair H115i (I actually had to customize my case to fit this thing)
Ram: Crucial 16GB DDR4 2400MHz Ballistic Sport
Video card: MSI GAMING 8G GTX 1080
Power Supply: EVGA 750 G3
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB M.2
HDD: Seagate Harddisk 3.5" 1TB (I really really really need to replace this one with an SSD. 1TB is enough for me as I have 400/40 internet and can re-download everything if needed.)
Optical: some crappy Samsung reader which I never use.
OS: Win7 Ultimate 64-bit

The oldest parts in this PC are the HDD and the optical, which have been working for 4 years now. MoBo, case, RAM, CPU and SSD are about 2 years old now, and the GPU, CPU cooling and PSU are <6months old.

I’ll Play.

That’s cool - is it opposite side of where your peripherals/desktop is?

Just mounted on the wall to the left of my ancient monitor.

I know I could of built for cheaper, but I am pretty unskilled at anything that does’t have an engine in it. >.<

Looking to upgrade my system or get a completely new one before getting into Star Citizen, which is why I haven’t been active at all. Just need to save up a ton of cash. Star Citizen runs like poorly on my system. Of course, I didn’t join ADI for no good reason. I promised my loyalty and thus you will always have it.

I added a few hard drives and a new monitor, keyboard, and mouse since this build and its associated video. The speakers weren’t originally mine and I had better ones before, but my jerk of a stepfather took mine and gave me his (long story.) They have too much bass, imo. Can be annoying at times, especially when other people are in the house and therefore might be disturbed.

CyberpowePC Build From 2014 (Ive only upgraded the GPU from GTX 770 to 1060)

Processor Intel® Core™ i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz, 3501 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
RAM DDR3 16Gig
GPU Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
MBoard MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate ATX w/ Military Class 4, OC Genie II, GbLAN, 2 GEn3 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1, 2 PCI
PSupply 800 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Certified Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready
HDD 1Tb HDD

I need to upgrade to SSD and increase RAM but all in all, still runs like a charm.

The DUKE

I built this rig last summer when the 1080Ti came out. it costed me about $3500. and counting, as i keep adding stuff to it. I have 1 more SSD drive to get and a new Warthog joystick system. The smaller pc next to the big one is just a random linux machine i have for looking stuff up.

It has right now:
*OS: Microsoft Windows 10
*CASE: NZXT S340 White
*CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K
*Cooler: NZXT Kraken x61
*GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti - 11GB THE DUKE
*RAM: 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB
*Motherboard: ASROCK Z270 SLI
*SSD: 250GB Samsung 850 EVO
*HDD: 6 TB
*Headset: Sades Spellond RGB / RIG 800
*Keyboard: Corsair K55 RGB
*Mouse: Corsair M65 RGB
*Monitor: LG 29’ Ultrawide IPS Panel x 2

16gb 8x2 ddr4 hyperx Fury 3000mhz
Asus gtx 1080 a8g
Samsung 500gb 960 evo w/heatsink
Monitors is a dell s2716dg
27in 1440p 144hz 1ms gsync panel that is amazing.
Custom hard loop with an ek revo pwm pump/rez
Ek block for the 1080, raystorm neo for the ryzen, 1 360 rad because this case really don’t have room for much more.

Front of case has been modified to allow the use of 3 Delta pfc1212de fans!

These fans are a freaking beast they have not run at full speed yet even when stress testing.

Normal temps with my oc’d rig.

Gpu sits right around 37c and cpu sits right around 55c.

These are overclock temps as well. If I don’t over clock. While playing SC or something else my temps stay below 40 on both my cpu and gpu. The delta fans even running at 30% move more air then any fan I’ve use running at . Yes at full speed they use 150w but hey don’t have to worry now!

I’m running a pretty dated computer, might upgrade when Zen2 processors come out. Haven’t really needed to so far. Star Citizen doesn’t run fantastically on it, but until just recently, it didn’t run great on anything anyway.
