Well here I come with my terrible set up. I’m primarily on my “potatoe” of a laptop which is a 17" Toshiba with an 2.2ghz dual core Intel pentium with 4gb of ram and 64mb of video ram XD

But for Star Citizen I play on a two monitor desktop with a 3.4ghz quad core AMD processor and 8gb of ram with a 2gb nividia geforce gtx 650 and unfortunately am destroying it all with a 350w power supply XD (getting around to upgrading it since it hardly works).

Before the release of star citizen I plan on building my own with at least a gtx 750 2gb or 280x 2gb gpu with a 3.5ghz or higher quad core processor with a minimum 600w power supply and 12-16gb ram. (I’ll be grabbing a bunch of everyone’s input considering all of our tech experts) =p

Some of these photos are old, but here’s my rig.

I just built a PC with my time off over the holidays, nothing really special but its enough to run SC finally.

It’s pretty basic with an i7 4790k and a GTX 970. I’m pretty happy with the performance so far.

My Build:

CPU: Intel 3770k
RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPs (CAS 9)
Graphics Card: EVGA 660ti Signature 2 Superclocked
Motherboard: Gigabyte Sniper M3 MATX
SSD 1: Crucial MX100 512GB (main, os, games, etc)
SSD 2: Crucial M500 256GB (VMware workspace)
HHD: 2TB Western Digital RE
Case: Silverstone TJ08-E
PSU: Seasonic SS-760 Platnium
CPU cooler: Coolermaster 212
Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB
Mouse: Logitech M502
Headphones: Turtle Beach X22s i think.

Monitors: Some random HP 21.5 inch (x2)

This years upgrades will be the monitors and the GFX card. Looking at 34inch ultra wide and whatever the next SLi/Crossfire on a single card is (so the next 690/ 295X). Was aiming for 2x 980 8GB cards, but the case and motherboard just won’t do 2. (bad 8x slot placement).

My Build:
CPU: I7 3770K @ 4.5GHZ
CPU cooling: custom water cooling loop (normal 30 °C)
RAM: 32GB geIl (overkill  )
GPU: 2x msi gtx 770 twin frozr in SLI
Motherboard: gigabye z77x-up7
SSD: samsung evo 840
HHD:2x 2TB Toshiba in raid 0
Case: xpredator x2
PSU: cooler master silent pro 850W

Keyboard: corsair k40
Mouse: corsair m60
Headphones: logitech g430

A buddy helped me build this setup a little over a year ago. I plan on upgrading processor and video card before Star Citizen launches. I also want to get some high quality headphones.

I also just ordered the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick through the ADI Amazon link.

This is what i’ve been running for the past year. I think I’m going to have to at least upgrade the GPUs once SC goes live!
