Hey there grumpy - sorry to hear you are having some trouble with mumble.

My first question is - have you downloaded the client from the proper website:

wiki.mumble.info/wiki/Main_Page

I would specifically suggest downloading the Development Snapshot (1.3.0~…~snapshot)

Check this stuff first then we can go from there.
