The name’s MakoSH4RK. Feel free to just call me Mako though. I’m very new to SC (only just bought a package a couple of days ago) and can be found near Port Olisar fumbling with my flight control scheme in the cockpit of an Avenger Titan. I’m a fairly avid sim player (Project Cars, Dirt Rally, IL2 Sturmovik, SQUAD, Post Scriptum, Hell Let Loose, Elite Dangerous, EVE Online, just to name a few), and used to play competitively in a top-ten-in-the-world War Thunder squadron. I’m also Gold IV in MORDHAU, so hit me up on Steam if you also play and wanna catch a frying pan to the head.
In the near term, I’d like to just start with gaining my bearings in the verse (learn the basics of mission-running, space combat, etc…). As far as specialization in the intermediate to long term, search and rescue/triage interest me, but I suppose whenever inventory persistence comes around I could also leverage my data analytics background to speculate on the commodities market assuming CIG doesn’t interfere with the economy too much.

Welcome to ADI MakoSH4RK! Sounds like you have some good gaming experience already, and your time with ED will prepare you probably the most for SC, although this game is still on a whole 'nother level! Avenger Titan is a great ship, one you’ll probably keep with you for a while as you grow in the game since it’s so versatile. Once the Tumbril Ranger motorcycle goes Live you’ll even be able to carry a vehicle with it! I have wanted to try MORHAU, 'cause I studied the German Langschwert for a few years and that game looks like I could pretend to use one for real while being ridiculously fun to play, so maybe I’ll let you know if I ever want to be your target practice dummy. A lot of us in ADI have a lot of ships already, so if you want to try any other ships in this game, or want to fly escort or crew a turret for someone doing cargo, or want to come along on a ground raid mission, just ask!
