I come from a mainly MMORPG background (Star Wars Galaxies, WoW [Vanilla and BC], GW, GW2, EQ2, and some I’m sure I’m missing). That said, I loved playing original Planetside, America’s Army back in the day, Tribes 2, and a bunch of other FPS. More recently I’ve been playing a good bit of Overwatch. I really enjoy sniping and gunning, though this game’s dogfighting is so damn fun. OW I usually stick to hitscan or tanks.
IRL I’m a grad student (graduate in April!) and play video games whenever I have some spare time. Main reason I’m joining up with ADI is that it looks like no one I know is getting Star Citizen, and I’d like some people to run around with; as my time on BF has taught me, never can trust blue man group, ya know?
I joined up for the same reason like you. I had no friends that were interested in Star Citizen.
And the reason why you will like it here is because you will make a lot of friends that play SC.

Reading your list of games takes me way back! I remember SWG and all the resource mining structures and too-many-people-to-render pvp battles where dead bodies seemed to appear from nowhere! We also have a few guys, myself included, that play Planetside 2 even now. I think you’ll fit in with your gaming history for sure! I look forward to seeing you on Mumble.

Hey there Loki - welcome to the community from a former fellow MMOer - I am proud to say I escaped the addiction after WoW BC.
