Welcome to ADI Edgers! You might be excited for the new atmospheric flight model that just launched! I was hopeful I could glide without an engine while in atmosphere but you still just fall like a rock unless you keep a few specific thrusters online.

In many things it is good not to be like a rock, so I guess that is an important step! I’m hopeful that one day ships with aerodynamic shapes and movable flight control surfaces can actually glide and maneuver within atmosphere even if their engine is off. I’d love the experience of being in a dog fight in outer atmosphere, losing my engine, then gliding in for a landing to be safely picked up by a wingmate…not quite yet I suppose.
