After latest Nvidia update Shadowplay FPS counter in Discord

Anyone else in the past week who uses Shadowplay been getting an FPS counter in non-game applications such as Discord? I thought I had screwed something up until I saw this post. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/994558/shadowplay-fps-counter-showing-in-non-game-applications-ie-discord-/?offset=2

Workaround is to go into Geforce Experience and manually turn off FPS counter overlay. Unfortunately, for FPS counter to show when I am running a game, in game I have to pull up Geforce Experience again (via shortcut) and turn on FPS counter overlay again. This means next time I mouse over discord the FPS counter pops up there as well.

Anyone found a fix?

hmm, hadn’t noticed on mine.

What OS / GPU you running?

Win 10 Home, 750 Ti. This only started after the last Nvidia software update, and apparently I’m not alone.

What FPS you getting?

In case anyone else has this, found the “solution”.

In Discord settings > Appearance uncheck “Hardware Acceleration”. This is apparently on by default, not anything I messed with before.

I have seen the same in Discord since the NVidia Update.

That fix worked like a charm!
